This product was sent to me for reviewing purposes. The opinions expressed are genuine.

Hi there! 🙂
I obviously couldn’t stay away – I couldn’t wait to post about a new make up product I received! I received this from Beauteque.
The container for the product itself is pretty interesting – the bottom is where the gel eyeliner is, and in the portion on top..
… there’s a brush hiding! I think it’s pretty cool – it might save you from taking a whole bunch of brushes if you’re traveling, since your eyeliner brush is built right in.
When I opened it, I was not too surprised to see the little white separator. At least it tells me that the product was never used!
It doesn’t look like a lot of product, but the gel is so pigmented! You really only need a little bit.
I’m a very simple eyeliner person – I just like to have them lined, and I can walk out the door, feeling as fine as Beyonce. If I feel particularly daring, I’ll try a cat eye, but I’m still working on getting them to look the same on each side. So when I had to find something nearby to compare it to, I used my Sephora liquid eyeliner. It’s not necessarily my favorite or the best, it just was the most accessible thing I could get at the time. I’m on the hunt for a new one, so if you have any suggestions, throw some my way.
So as you can see in the picture, the Sephora Eyeliner is a harsh, unforgiving black. Tony Moly, on the other hand, is a little bit softer, and it’s smudge-able within the first few seconds of applying it. After that, you’re a little out of luck.
1. Warm Water
After wearing both eyeliners on my wrist for about an hour, I let warm water run on both eyeliner swatches for 30 seconds. I then took my finger and gently rubbed it back and forth between the two. For the first test, they both passed – not even a little came off of either one. No smudging either.
TEST 2:
Warm Water + Cleanser
After splashing warm water on my wrist and adding a pea sized amount of Purity, I gently rubbed – you can see how much of the Sephora liner comes off… and how much Tony Moly’s doesn’t. It’s now been 24 hours since I swatched it and I still see a shadow of it on my wrist. If this eyeliner was the bad guy in a horror movie, I’d be shrieking and begging for mercy because it wouldn’t go away. It’s the Rasputin of eyeliners.. in a good way.
While the product itself is great, let me take a second to talk about the brush.
Ugh. The brush.
Such a thick line, and it’s not even filled in properly.. >:(

While it’s handy to have the brush directly attached to the product itself, I can’t tell you how much I hate it. It distributes the gel eyeliner in a thick, uneven manner. I knew it wasn’t the product at fault when I tried another brush – my Sephora Angled Liner brush.

This is MUCH more like my usual style of wearing liner. I feel like my eyes are a little weird and big, so when I have black all up on my lids, I’m channeling my inner raccoon. It’s not attractive.

Simply put: love the product, hate the brush.

Smell: No real scent I can detect.
Appearance: Black gel.
Texture: Very smooth, easy to put it on your brush
$6.67 at Amazon
– Small amount needed, so it’ll last you a long time
– Smudge-able within the first few seconds of applying
– Has staying power, AKA will last through a nuclear winter
– Lots of color choices
OVERALL RATING: / 9 out of 10
love this product. It goes on easy, and I can wear it all day without worrying about rubbing my eyes for fear of black smudges. It’s also pretty great cost wise, as you only need a little bit of the product to make your eyes pop. As someone who switched from a foam-tipped liquid eyeliner applicator to exclusively this (plus an angled liner brush), this is my new favorite. I’m still looking for a good liquid, but this is great for an everyday casual look.
Would I Buy This Again?
Yes. I would buy it immediately. As most of you know, I live in Florida. The fact that this stays on my lids and doesn’t get affected by the sweat is glorious, and I WILL be checking out more colors in the future.
I ALSO hope you checked out the update on my giveaway – the deadline has been extended! It’s open until the 10th of May! Remember to scroll to the bottom after clicking this to take you to the Rafflecopter widget. Make sure to read through the terms and conditions, and good luck to all!
